Some IVC ideas
Let me start by saying I have a great school in Mexico to work with that already has IVC equipment. In fact, it was during a visit to this school that I was inspired to install equipment at my school in order to work with them. They also visit us in the spring and we visit them in the summer.
Great teaching exchange- A teacher prepares a great "class" or "lab" and shares it with the school in Mexico, and a teacher in Mexico does the same. Preparing and reading before the session would be essential.
Song exchange- This one I like because you can start with little or no preparation. The students from both schools teach each other a popular (top 40) song from their country.
Bilingual children's book- Students collaborate to produce a book for kindergarten in Spanish and English. Art, script, puppet making are all tasks that need to be shared. Students will use puppets to put on shows for kids during visits to each others schools.
